Meet The Pastor

Bishop Black
Rector Alan Black
The current Rector of Grace Anglican Church is Bishop Alan Black. Alan began ministry in 1985 as a youth Pastor in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his time at Bible College, he worked with church missions helping to start new churches in the Intermountain West. After college he founded a church in Ogden, Utah and served there until the late 1990s when he moved to Texas filling various positions until joining the Anglican Diocese of Texas in 2011. Alan founded a new ministry in Carrollton, Texas and a Mission in Ellis County, Texas. Alan replaced the former Bishop in 2018 upon his retirement. In 2021 the Ellis County Mission purchased a building in downtown Waxahachie and took the name, Grace Anglican Church. We are in the process of restoring the property and building a congregation. Please take a Sunday and visit us, the building is very inspiring and the members are friendly.
