Our services are on Saturdays, the seventh day of the week and the Bible's "Sabbath day," hence our name of "Seventh-day" Adventist. We worship on that day in obedience to the Fourth Commandment, and because it was the day when our Lord worshiped (see Luke 4:16).
Other than that, our services are typical of many traditional Protestant Christian churches. We open with a familiar hymn, then we share testimonies and prayer requests, and sometimes we are blessed with special music from one of our members or friends. We want our young children to value the worship service, too, so we try to include a short message just for them before the sermon is presented.
