Christian Reformed Church in North America
Stemming from Dutch immigrants during the mid-1800s, this Reformed group considers itself evangelical and Calvinistic in its beliefs. The name “Reformed” comes from the church’s early beginnings in the Reformation. They place a strong emphasis on theological study and its application in daily life as well as childhood education. They are also conservative on social issues and doctrinal practices.
