Pastor Dan Goddard
Pastor, Potter Dan Goddard began studying ceramic arts in the 70’s while living in Helena, Montana home of the Archie Bray Foundation. Pastor Dan is an accomplished potter and ceramic artist. Some of his early influences are potters/artists like David Shaner, Dave Cornell, Kurt Weiser, Carol Roorbach, and Josh DeWeese.
He believes that being created in the “Image of God” also means inheriting God’s creative character and nature. One way to express this creativity is through the arts. His love for clay is rooted in the illustrations seen in the bible "But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand (Isaiah 64:8)". He instructs beginner and advanced pottery students on the potter's wheel, design, hand building, sculpturing, and creates custom commission pottery work.
