BELIEFS
THE BIBLE
We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the inspired Word of God, as found within the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe these scriptures to be the final authority by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be judged. We believe these scriptures to be infallible and inerrant in the original writings, and are supernaturally preserved. We accept the Bible as the sole authority for Christian faith and practice, and base our doctrine on its sound truth.
GOD
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God. We believe that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
We believe that the Lord Jesus accomplished redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice and that our justification is assured by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption.
WHY DO I NEED A SAVIOR?
All of us are sinful people. The Bible is clear that all have committed sin (Romans 3:23) and have therefore experienced a broken relationship with a holy God. Outside of that relationship, we are not experiencing the abundant life that God intends (John 10:10). We need a Savior.
And here is the good news which the Bible calls "Gospel." The fullness of my broken relationship with God and the abundant life He intends for me can only be restored through Jesus, who is both our holy God and a man who experienced everything we do (Hebrews 4:15), even becoming our own sin on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus was bodily crucified (Luke 23) and bodily resurrected (Luke 24). He did this for each of us - as a substitution of His life so that I could truly have mine. His death conquered sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). His resurrection conquered death (Hebrews 2:9-15). And in Him we are liberated from both.
HOW CAN I BE SAVED?
Salvation comes only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10). A person cannot be saved by his own good works, no matter how good they may be. One must recognize there is salvation in no other name (Acts 4:12), including their own.
REALIZE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER
The Bible tells us that all have sinned and come short of God's glory (Romans 3:23).
REALIZE THAT SIN HAS A PRICE
The Bible tells us that the wages (payment) of sin is death, but God offers the gift of eternal life instead through Christ (Romans 6:23)
REALIZE THAT THE PRICE HAS BEEN PAID
God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and pay the price for your sins. You could never pay your debt, so Christ paid it for you (John 3:16, Romans 5:8).
REALIZE THAT YOU NEED TO REPENT
Repentance is a change of mind and a turning of one's life. When you repent, you accept and agree with God that you are a sinner, that sin must be paid for, and that you accept Christ's death on the cross as the payment for your sin.
PLACE YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST
Simply believe on Christ as the One who died in your place and paid the debt of your sin. Believe that He was buried and that He rose again from the dead. Invite Him to be your Savior and your Lord (John 1:12, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13).
