Reverend Anne Cubbage
Broadmoor Community Church is blessed to have two dynamic, enthusiastic, caring and passionate women to cater to their flock. Rev. Anne Cubbage (Lead Pastor who has been at BCC since January 2017). Anne grew up in sunny Arizona and received her Bachelors degree in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona. After 17 year in the class room and urging of the Spirit, she pursued a Master of Divinity at Perkins School of Theology (SMU) before being ordained. Anne's first church was in Elkhart, IN where she was in a ministry with an amazing group of people. Her most recent pastorate was on idyllic Cape Cod. While there she helped celebrate the church's 375th anniversary and was able to spend much time exploring our nation's history. Anne is pleased to be a part of Broadmoor Community Church, UCC, as it continues to expand it's understanding of God's grace by reaching ever further into it's community to share the good news of God's inclusive love. Rev. Lynn Hurst (Minister of Music who has been at BCC since 2004). A southern belle, Lynn grew up in southern Arkansas and received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Oklahoma, then a Master of Church Music from the Scarritt Graduate School in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed seminary work at Vanderbilt before being ordained as a United Methodist minister. Lynn is an imaginative and gifted musician and author. Her books 'Changing Your Tune: A Musician's Handbook for Creating Contemporary Worship' and "Praise Now' are published by Abingdon Press and she was a contributing author of 'Church Music for Children' and '52 Children's Choir Activities'. BCC's music program and its continued growth are the result of Lynn's creativity, enthusiasm and abounding energy. Lynn helps people of all ages discover God's gift of music. Her innovative Music Intern program is just one example of her success. Lynn's husband, Jerry, is also ordained. They have two children and two grandchildren.
