Meet The Pastor
Senior Pastor Matt Solie
Matt moved to Chicago in 2005 to attend North Park University, and he graduated with a B.S. in Finance. After working in finance for two years, he transitioned to seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he received a Masters in Theological Studies in 2014.
In 2012, he met his wife, Lauren, and they have been married for five years. Lauren is an academic librarian at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois. In 2018, their family grew by +1 after their son Asher was born.
Lauren and Matt’s ministry at Village is marked by a shared love for Chicago, cultivated over the years they have worked, studied, and served in this city. They share a common passion for seeing lives transformed by the hope of Jesus.
