Meet The Pastor

Pastor Philip Pinto
Pastor Phil and Melissa Pinto were married March 25, 2000. They have four children Josaiah (2005), Isabelle (2007), Jairus (2009), and Asa (2010). On May 31, 2009, Koinonia Christian Fellowship (Imboden, AR) ordained Phil recognizing God’s call to pastoral ministry on Phil’s life to which he had surrendered two years prior at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (Ravenden Springs, AR). He had developed a youth discipleship and vocational training ministry serving as director of Pilgrimage Christian Center in Ravenden Springs since June 1998, but accepted the call to pastor Village Bible Church in July 2011. He continues to develop the training program for Pilgrimage and oversees the ministries there, but sees pastoring Village Bible Church as the preeminent call from God. He is passionate about thorough study of God’s word to present accurate and applicable expository teaching, and received a Master of Theology from Anchor Theological Seminary in November 2014. Whether young or old, he believes all Christians need to grow in their faith and understanding of their Lord, and is committed to investing time and energy into the lives of God’s people. At the same time, he understands the role of the church working together as the body of Christ to accomplish the mission of making disciples including reaching out to win unbelievers to Christ and encourage believers to love and good works that produce kingdom fruit. Because of this he works hard to encourage and provide opportunities for people in the church to serve.
