Meet The Pastor
Pastor Mark Jones
Pastor Mark Jones has served at Wakefield Valley Bible Church since January 2007.
He grew up in Atlanta, GA, and while he went to church regularly as a boy, he didn’t accept the Lord until his service in the Air Force.
Pastor Mark desires to help people grow in their faith and understanding of God. You can catch his messages on the Wakefield Valley Bible Church YouTube channel.
He holds a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science from the University of the State of New York. He is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute and a trained leadership coach.
Pastoring is a second career for Pastor Mark. He first served in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian linguist, retiring from active duty in 1995.
He’s been married to Debbie since 1995, and they have two children and three grandchildren.
If you’re ever talking college football, don’t be surprised if he lights up - Pastor Mark is a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan and still celebrates the Dawgs’ 2021 & 2022 National Championships like they happened yesterday!
