BELIEFS
GOD - We believe that there is one God. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three entities: the Father, the Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. JESUS - We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is God in the flesh. John 1:1, 14. He is the sinless, chosen, virgin-born Messiah. John 20:31. THE HOLY SPRIT - We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and has come into the world to glorify and reveal Jesus, and impart new life to all who have faith in Him. He indwells believers and empowers them to live a life pleasing to God. Acts 1:8. THE BIBLE - We believe the whole Bible is God’s inspired Word. 1Timothy 3:16. SIN - We believe we are all sinners who are guilty before God and deserve judgement. Romans 3:23 Our only hope is through our Savior, Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23. GOD'S PLAN - We believe that Jesus died for our sins. John 14:1-3 He was buried and rose from the dead, went to Heaven and will come back some day. John 14:1-3 Jesus did this so that we can have a relationship with God through faith in Jesus. John 3:16. SALVATION - We believe our salvation comes through faith, by grace and is a free gift. It can’t be earned, but is freely given through Jesus. Ephesians 2:8,9. BAPTISM - We believe in following the pattern Jesus laid out, with obedience in baptism by immersion. According to his Word, it is for those who personally believe in Christ. Mark 1:4.
LIFE ETERNAL - We believe that eternal life is a gift given freely by God, and once given is permanent. John 10:28. MARRIAGE - We believe that marriage is God ordained, and exists only between one man and one woman. Genesis 1:27, Romans 1:24-27. COMMUNION - We believe in The Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Jesus’ suffering, death and resurrection. Corinthians 11:26.
