CFC Faith Statement
1. The Word of God - We believe the Bible is: wholly, word for word, God’s revealed, breathed-out, absolute truth concerning Himself, humanity, and every relatable matter; the concealing and revealing of the supernatural nature of Jesus Christ; the final authority of truth which is to be trusted with, and in life and eternity.
2. The True God - We believe God: is triune, perfectly one in three persons, consisting of Father, Son and Holy Spirit; is the embodiment of love, righteousness, justice; works in infinite ways, immutable words, and an inevitable will; is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, supreme, inexpressibly and unfathomably glorious, holy, and supernatural in every way; is the uncreated creator and architect of everything by whom all things consist; seeking a relationship with those made in His image; is desiring and worthy of worship.
3. The Enemy - We believe in the literal existence of Satan and that he: was created perfect; sinned willfully; originated the demise of the entire universe and all of which it consists; is unredeemable and defeated; will spend eternity in the “lake of fire”; is limited but seeks to destroy any and all of God’s creation; tempts, steals, distorts, accuses, betrays, and corrupts; leads innumerable legions of demons who are of like-mindedness.
4. The Fall - We believe that original man/woman: were created perfect; willfully chose to disobey God’s law; surrendered dominion of the earth to Satan, initiating the demise of the entire universe and all of which it consists.
5. Depravity of Mankind - We believe that all people (excluding innocent children): are morally degenerate, unethically base, separated from God, and imperfect; are in need of redemptive forgiveness, and pure relationship with God without religious implications; do not seek the true God.
6. Sin - We believe sin is: disobedience to or omission of God’s absolute Word, command(s) or will; rebellion towards God’s order, nature, earthly governments (who themselves are assumed to be in right relationship with the Lord), the church, and/or church leadership.
7. Jesus - We believe that Jesus Christ: is God incarnate – Immanuel of Old and New Testaments; is the unequivocal Son of the One True God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; was born of the virgin Mary; is a descendant and the Lord of King David; is the Fulfillment of Old Testament prophesies; lived a perfectly sinless life; contained eternal life in His blood; allowed Himself to be slain as the propitiation for the sin of mankind; physically rose from the dead on the third day; ascended bodily into Heaven; makes intercession for those whom He has elected and who have given themselves to Him; will come to earth again, glorify His people, establish His earthly kingdom and government, rule and reign, and make all things new.
8. Heaven and Hell - We believe: in the literal Heaven and Hell; that innocent children and those forgiven of personal sin will live forever with God who is the embodiment of the utopia experienced in New Heaven and New Earth; that Heaven is a physical reality, perfect, peaceful, full of excitement and adventure; that those who full of pride and self-worship, who remained undecided about or decided against Jesus will “have their part” in the “Lake of Fire” where God and all that He is will remain absent for all eternity; there is no purgatory; there is no hope for those dead without Christ.
9. Salvation - We believe that salvation: is by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ alone; is not attained by works, practice, penance, religious ritual, etc; is free to everyone who will accept it; cannot be lost by the possessor, taken by the accuser, revoked by the Redeemer, or disjointed by any other for any reason; is evidenced in the believers actions, speech, works and perseverance.
10. Baptism - We believe that Christian Baptism: is immersion in water; does not save souls; is an emblem of the beautiful union regained once and for all at the point of salvation, identifying the new convert with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection; is a public statement of commitment to a life lived in spiritual blueprint of the life lived by Christ, Himself.
11. The Lord’s Supper - We Believe that Communion: cannot save souls; does not contain transubstantial elements; is a solemn ordinance preformed by the sanctified members of the church of the living Christ in remembrance of the sacrifice made on that faithful day by Him.
