BELIEFS

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the standard for faith and practice. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the sovereignty of God: Creation, revelation, rendition, and the final judgment. The universality of sin and guilt of man from the fall is subject to the condemnation and wrath of God. The redemption of sin and guilt only comes through the atonement of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, the incarnate Son of God, who is our representative and substitute. Our relationship in Him releases us from the domain and the corruption of sin. We believe in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension, seated in the right hand of the Father, and His lordship over the church, the world, and all creation. The work of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration of a sinner leads one to acknowledge their sin and their need to have faith in Jesus, the Savior. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the fullness thereof in the believer enables them to worship God, overcome sin, serve in the church, the world, and all creation. The justification of the sinner is through the mercy and grace of God that is received by faith through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The only mediator between God and men is Jesus. Believers in Christ, visible in local congregations are all part of God’s universal church. We believe in the Rapture of the church and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in His glorified body. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the eternal life of the redeemed, and the eternal punishment of the wicked along side those who denied Christ.
