BELIEFS

1. To bring people to the salvation knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus taught that we all must be born-again in order to enter the kingdom of God. John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 2. Minister salvation, healing and deliverance to those who are hurting and sick in accordance to the teachings of Jesus in Mark chapter 16:17 when he said “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents -[note: not literal serpents]; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” 3. Make disciples of all nations teaching people faith in the word of God so they can develop a mature and victorious Christian life in Christ. Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” 4. The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 5. There is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) who are to be equally loved, honored, and adored. John 14:16 “And I [Jesus] will pray the Father [Heavenly Father], and he shall give you another Comforter [Holy Spirit], that he may abide with you for ever;” 6. All humanity participated in Adam’s fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin and totally helpless until he/she is born-again. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” and Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 7. The Sovereign God, for no other reason than His own unfathomable love and mercy, has chosen lost sinners from every nation to be redeemed by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit and through the atoning death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” 8. Salvation is offered to everyone by the grace of God through the redemptive work and blood-shed of Jesus Christ on the cross. Those sinners whom the Spirit quickens, come to believe in Christ as Savior by faith in the Word of God, and are born again, become sons of God, and will persevere to the end. Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” and Romans 5:9 “Much more then, being now justified by his [Jesus] blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” 9. By faith in Jesus Christ, one is Justified before God. The undeserving sinner is clothed with righteousness [right-standing] upon receiving Jesus Christ at salvation. Romans 5:19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” 10. Christians are made perfect [mature] and righteous i.e. in right-standing with God by faith in Jesus Christ and not by trying to approach or please God by thinking we are justified in our flesh or by our own works. Hebrews 11″6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” and Galatians 3:10 “foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. 5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” 11. The goal of God’s salvation in the life of the Christian is holiness [to be set set-apart] , unto good works because we are saved, and for his service for the glory of God. A Cristian does good works because he is saved and not because good works can save. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” 12. At death, the Christian’s soul and spirit is in the presence of God, the body remains in the grave until the day of the Lord when Jesus returns then they are resurrected from the dead in a glorified heavenly body to meet the Lord in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep [the dead], that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” and 1 Corinthians 15:50 “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 13. An unbeliever’s soul and spirit is eternally separated from God unto eternal damnation because they have rejected the only hope of salvation that God offers to them through Jesus Christ. Matthew 10:32 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” and Mark 16:16 “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” 14. Jesus Christ will return to earth, visibly and bodily, at a time when He is not expected, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. Acts 1:9 “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” and Revelation 1:5 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” 15. Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and the good news of the Gospel of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ must be published to all the world as a witness before Jesus Christ returns to to judge the living and the dead. Jesus is the truth, life eternal and the only way to the Father. Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” and John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” and 1 Peter 4: 1″I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick [the living] and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry..”
