Connect, Challenge, Impact!
At Passages our vision is to see hundreds of households in Laveen connecting to one another and to God for the purpose of building a community where the troubled and hurting are cared for, the lonely and depressed find hope and fulfillment, the guilty experience grace and forgiveness, and the baby believer grows to maturity in Jesus Christ.
Ultimately our vision is to make a local, eternal impact for Jesus Christ right here in Laveen, Arizona...but we also expect the impact we make to have global ramifications. Jesus told the disciples, "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8) Jesus thought locally, regionally and globally...and so must we.
Closely connected to our vision is our stated mission:
To connect people to people and people to God; to encourage God's people to take God's challenge to grow to maturity in Christ, making a maximum impact for Jesus in our world through our obedience to his Word.
CONNECT...CHALLENGE...IMPACT are the three words that define what we're here to do. On Sunday mornings the emphasis is helping people make a connection to Jesus and to the family of God here at Passages. During the week our goal is to train and equip God's people for service by getting them into God's word and responding to God's challenge to grow in faith and obedience. Becoming like Christ is the greatest challenge in life! As people plug in and start using their spiritual gifts in serving one another and sharing Christ with one another...that's what God considers maximum kingdom impact.It's what Jesus was talking about when he washed the disciple's feet then told them, "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." (John 13:15) It's what he had in mind when he commissioned his followers to "go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20) We're here to make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ...real disciples making a real difference in our world for Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God.

Passages Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational Christian church whose basic tenets are these:
* God exists eternally in three, distinct, coequal and co-eternal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
* The Bible is truly God's inspired, inerrant Word to mankind and is true and infallible in all it seeks to teach.
* Man has broken fellowship with his Creator and apart from trusting Jesus Christ for his salvation, is eternally lost.
* Jesus Christ's death upon the cross was God's means of providing a rescue and safe passage home for all who will believe and personally receive Christ as Savior and Lord.
* The Holy Spirit comes and renews all who call upon Christ for mercy and salvation, forgiving their past, present and future sins, filling them with His holy and powerful presence, and sealing them for the day of redemption that is to come.
* The Church is Christ's holy bride and his ambassadors to the world and will reign with him in heaven forever.
* Jesus is coming again to gather his people, raise the bodies of all those who have fallen asleep, and will invite the righteous to enter into the fullness of his kingdom; but the unbelievers and the wicked he will assign to everlasting punishment.
