About Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church
We are friendly people who have found a warm church home and a religion, Unitarian Universalism, that welcomes diversity of thought and belief. We welcome people of all abilities, ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and creeds. We've been standing on the side of love, justice, and peace since 1954. As Unitarian Universalists, we are diverse in our beliefs about the great mysteries of life–creation, ultimate purpose, life after death. We need not think alike to love alike.

BELIEFS
At Starr King Church we are guided in our beliefs by Unitarian Universalist values, especially as expressed in our seven Principles.
1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person
2. Justice, equity and compassion in human relations
3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
We believe that knowledge and faith can agree, and that loving community is possible. We accept that the great mysteries of creation, divinity, purpose, and ultimate destiny are precisely that: mysteries, beyond the current level of human comprehension.
