Mystic Heart Spiritual Center is an Interfaith Community that embraces the Christian roots of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom traditions, Perennial Philosophy, and Evolutionary Spirituality. We believe that Creation and Evolution are one and the same Divinely Guided process, and that humankind is an essential part of that process. The Master Teacher Jesus of Nazareth taught us that "the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." We believe that it is humanity's highest calling to work together in Beloved Community to bring the experience of Heaven on Earth into fruition for all Beings.

We Believe in New Thought/Perennial Wisdom
The designation “New Thought” does not mean that this is a new philosophy or a modern religion. New Thought acknowledges the relationship between our habitual thought patterns and the circumstances of our lives. The website of the Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN) offers this:
New Thought, as defined in the dictionary, is a modern spiritual philosophy stressing the power of right thinking in a person’s life, the idea that our thoughts and attitudes affect our experience and that God (or whatever other name a person might have for a Higher Power) is within the individual.
New Thought is a logical and scientifically based understanding and method of changing our experience by changing our thinking. New Thought is simple and easy to learn. It has a tradition that reaches back over one hundred years and is founded on principles that embrace many of the world religious and spiritual practices spanning thousands of years.
New Thought recognizes that human beings function on many levels: that the individual is a mental, spiritual, emotional and physical being. In realizing our fullness, our wholeness and maximizing our potential we are, in essence, finding fulfillment.
New Thought teaches people tools which put us on the path to fulfillment. The natural extension of this fulfillment is that as an individual’s life is better, their family’s life is better, their community’s life is better and this extends out across the planet.
Perennial Wisdom is just what it sounds like: the common thread of all religions and philosophies that has been around for millennia. The definition of perennial is lasting or existing for a long or apparently infinite time; enduring or continually recurring. Perennial Wisdom goes back to ancient Egyptian Hermetic teachings that pre-date Abraham of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament). It contains the seeds (and roots) of the New Thought philosophy, as it first demonstrated the relationship between thought and experience. Both the Hebrew Scriptures and the Christian New Testament illustrate the power of changing your thought patterns. In fact, the term repent literally means to think again. When we change our habitual thinking patterns, we set a new cause in motion that must necessarily create a new effect, or experience. Evolutionary Spirituality recognizes evolution as the ongoing creation of the universe. God is still perfecting His Creation. As self-reflective beings, made in God's image and likeness, we take part in our own evolution, and the evolution of the human race. Our spiritual growth benefits not only ourselves, but the whole human family. As we cooperate with the Divine Creative and Evolutionary Impulse that courses through us, we help humanity grow into greater Love, Wisdom, and Unity.
