About Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church
Shepherd of the Valley is a congregation of the ELCA. Our mission is to Seek the Lord, Study God's Word, and Serve the World. We are inclusive and affirming of LGBTQ+ individuals and families. This is our welcome statement:

BELIEFS
We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We confess the Apostolic and Nicene Creeds, and we are guided by the Lutheran confessions. We believe the Bible is inspired by God, and we study scripture using both our God-given reason and the Spirit.
We are inclusive and affirming of LGBTQ+ individuals and families. Our worship style is liturgical (there is a pattern of worship every week, including music, prayer, scripture, preaching, and communion), and we incorporate old and new musical styles. We are passionate about caring for our neighbors, especially in feeding the hungry each week through Still Waters Café.
