Our Mission

If you are like most people, you are probably asking why we are called REVEAL Fellowship. A search through the Bible “reveals” that the word “reveal” is used frequently to portray deeper insight into a concept, to make an idea clearer, to uncover a hidden mystery, or to “reveal” God’s plan. We believe that we are called to reveal God’s character, nature and love. The church is not a building, a denomination, or an organization, but a gathering of God’s people. When we gather, God reveals himself through the proclamation of the Word of God and also through words of wisdom and knowledge that are supernaturally given. God has so much that He wants to reveal to us about Himself and about ourselves. The question is, “Are you ready to hear it?”

BELIEFS

What do we believe at REVEAL Fellowship? Well, we are your typical evangelical church in doctrine, nothing unusual here. Below is a fairly thorough (and typical) statement of faith, but let me summarize what distinguishes us (practically speaking) from many other churches. We believe that God speaks primarily through His word, but that he also uses his people to speak a rhema word (word for the moment) that may be a word of wisdom or knowledge that reveals the hearts of men. This rhema word, if it is from God, will never contradict His written word, but merely provides insight into the answer to the struggles that an individual has or direction a person needs. We also place a strong emphasis on cultivating a love relationship with Jesus. We believe that when Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments,” his focus was not on trying to get us to obey him; rather it was to show us that if we focused on loving Him and one another, we would “walk as Jesus walked” (1 John 2:6). In terms of other controversial areas, in eschatology (end times teaching), we are strongly premillennial but don’t divide over pre, mid or post tribulation rapture views. The pastors do have strong opinions in these areas, but we don’t think it is something that should be a deciding factor on what church you attend. Calvinists or Arminians? Do we have to get into this? I mean really? We believe that God is totally sovereign and that man is responsible and needs to choose. 99% of our messages are aimed at helping you grow stronger in God’s grace and how to walk in grace. We don’t spend much time on TULIP, because the important thing is getting saved and walking as Jesus walked. Instead of debating whether God chose us or we chose Him, we believe it is more helpful to talk about how to grow more in Christ-likeness, how to walk in our identity in Christ and how to live the Spirit-filled life.
