Our Mission

God is Building a church today to save those we meet tomorrow!
Worship: To praise and glorify God the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit: “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.” (Psalm 100:1-3) Evangelism: To share Jesus through our lives and our words: “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20) Maturity: To encourage individuals to grow up in Christ: “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-13) Fellowship: To develop a sense of belonging by sharing joys and burdens: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (Colossians 3:12-14) Ministry: To reach out in loving support to people in need: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

BELIEFS

We believe: people are the building blocks of church life and each person should develop a meaningful relationship with both God and their fellowman. (Mark 12:29-31) We believe: Spirit-led worship honors God, builds believers, inspires faith, liberates the oppressed and is essential for experiencing intimacy with God. (John 4:23-24) We believe: that every member is a minister and should seek their spiritual gifts that they may evangelize and minister to others. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20) We believe: the Holy Spirit is our enabler, guide and teacher in every decision; and that He desires to empower and indwell our lives. (Ephesians 3:16) We believe: in the healing power of prayer. (James 5:13-16) We believe: the Bible is our standard of faith and practice and that meaningful study combined with an active prayer life becomes a catalyst for transforming lives into the image of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) We believe: small-group ministry is a Biblical way of discilping, growing and connecting believers. (Acts 2:46-47) We believe: leaders should be experienced in spiritual matters and visionary in their outlook. They should reflect Christ’s character in all ways and work to equip people for ministry. (2 Timothy 3:1-13) We believe: that our communication with each other should be based on these two principles: (Ephesians 4:29) Speaking only what is good for building others up. Speaking only what will benefit those who listen.
