BELIEFS

So that we may have unity among us, know and speak the same foundations, and have integrity in presenting our witness of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ), we hereby establish that The Bridge holds to: There is but "ONE" God, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. He is ''I AM'' as revealed to the prophet Moses, the God who was, who is, and is to come. He is the creator of all things, our Sustainer and life giver. He is the Covenant maker and the Covenant keeper, our kinsmen Redeemer. God himself is Spirit (John 4:24) who has revealed Himself in numerous ways. God’s Holy WORD, known as the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, are the written revelation of Himself and His kingdom. It was penned by His Holy Prophets under inspiration of His Holy Spirit. It was given for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness for His covenant community, as explained in 2 Timothy 3:16. Both testament's are divine, authoritative, and are essential in establishing sound doctrine and accurate biblical teaching. This same WORD was made flesh in the person of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) and dwelt among mankind as the only begotten son of God, John 1:14. He is the living WORD of God and the promised Messiah. He was born by the power of the Holy Spirit through the virgin Miriam (Mary). He lived a sinless life through the power of the Holy spirit, setting an example for His disciples. He then gave His life as the atoning sacrifice for all mankind. He was crucified, buried, and rose again the third day. He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of the power on High. All mankind is born of flesh, and therefore, must be born again through the Spirit, becoming a child of God. Unless one is born again, they cannot see the Kingdom of God John 3:3. To be born again is to be drawn by the Holy Spirit to receive Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) as savior and master, by which the implanted WORD comes to dwell within the heart of the covenant believer. His Spirit then leads, guides, instructs, empowers, transforms, and comforts the covenant believer. An external immersion in water (baptism) is performed as an outward sign and confirmation that this has indeed taken place. The various gifts of the Holy Spirit are given with authority to all who ask and seek to obey the word of God. All spiritual gifts listed within the Holy Scripture are active, available, and should be a vital part of any covenant community. All followers of Messiah should earnestly seek these gifts and to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The TORAH of God, commonly known as the "LAW", was given as the governing constitution for the called out assembly "Church". The English word "LAW" is an improper rendering based upon the Greek word "nomos". The Hebrew word TORAH, translated LAW, actually means (teaching, instruction, and guidance) The teaching was given by God himself to the prophet Moses, who gave the teaching to God's covenant community. The teaching was not given as a means of salvation. The assembly that received the teaching was an already redeemed community. The teaching was given to sanctify and set His people apart from the pagan world they were delivered and that would surround them. The teaching instructs us in how we are to love God and our neighbor as ourselves. Most importantly they teach us how to walk as our Messiah walked and lead us to the new life that is found within Him. Within the teaching given to us by our Father we find the Feasts of the LORD. Due to simple misunderstanding, most believers see these Feasts as Jewish holidays, but this simply is not so. These Feasts are holy (set apart) celebrations given to draw us together as a community of faith in worship and to give thanks to our awesome God. The Feasts of the LORD are filled with biblical prophecy and foreshadow past and future biblical events. We consider it an honor to keep and proclaim our fathers amazing Holydays.
