Our Mission

Jesus’ last command to His followers was “Go and make disciples of all nations.” At The Harbor Worship Center, we’ll never stop going as long as there are lost, broken, or spiritually restless people around us. Because we’re committed to following Jesus’ call to “go,” we are striving to become a growing, missional church dedicated to Reaching, Educating, and Deploying the message of the Gospel throughout our city, region, and world. Specifically, in the next 5-10 years, we believe God to help us: Establish 2 Harbor Campuses. Start an Early Childhood Education Ministry. (Pre-K thru 5) Give back $300,000 to Local and World Missions. So, if you want to be a part of a community of people who believe in a big God with big plans for His people, you’re probably in the right place!

About The Harbor Worship Center

Our Vision We exist to Reach, Educate, and Deploy. Our Core Values God chose us. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-John 15:16 Doing life together. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25 My life for His service. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many-Mark 10:45 . You cant out give God Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”-Luke 6:38

BELIEFS

We believe that sound teaching and doctrine are extremely important and that guarding the truth of the faith is one of the main purposes of the church (1 Timothy 3:15). However, we also realize that doctrine can be one of the most divisive parts of Christianity. As a result, we embrace the words once echoed by John Wesley, “In the essentials we must have unity. In the non-essentials we must have liberty. In all things we must have love.” That means that there are some beliefs worth parting ways over. Those are the deal-breakers, the non-negotiables (Ephesians 4:4-6). But there are also other beliefs that aren’t as important and should be given some room for differences (Romans 14: 1, 4, 22). For the sake of biblical faithfulness and Christian unity, The Harbor holds the following as foundational beliefs: In the verbal inspiration of the Bible. In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor. That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. *For a more exhaustive list of what our church believes, visit our website, www.HarborWC.com
