OUR MISSION

Our mission is to transform, by the power of the Holy Spirit, ordinary people in true disciples of Jesus Christ, to create, encourage, and maintain an atmosphere of continuous growth, and to promote a sanctified Christian community where brotherly love, servanthood, and endurance are visible and active.

ABOUT GRACE CHRISTIAN CHURCH (CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN AUSTELL)

Grace Christian Church A New Speritiual impules in Haitian Community. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the supreme and infallible authority which true Christians cannot live without. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of the Father. He is both fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He took the human condition and died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. He rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will return in his glory, first to seek His own (1 Thes. 4: 13-18), and later with His own to complete the establishment of His Kingdom (Rev. 19: 11-16).

BELIEFS

We believe that there is one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God is Spirit. He is infinite with respect to time and space.

We believe that all have sinned and deserve death. The propitiatory sacrifice of Christ offers us, however, the opportunity to escape the punishment when we put our trust in Him alone to save us from the condemnation of death and sin.

We believe that the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead are the only bases upon which our justification rests. “His death is a redemption, a ransom paid in response to the holy requirements of God to the sinner, in order for God to release him from a fair sentence.” (Lewis S. Chafer, The Great Doctrines of The Bible, 1998).

We believe that those who accept Christ as their personal Savior by faith are declared righteous by God because of the righteousness of Christ that is imputed to them. They receive at the same time the gift of the Holy Spirit who gives them the ability to live for God.

We believe that those who put their trust in Christ receive at the very moment the baptism of the Holy Spirit, this baptism being God’s work by which believers are made members of the body of Christ, and are united with Christ, watered by one Spirit (1 Cor. 12: 13). “It is by the ministry of the Spirit that members are added to the Body of Christ, and this ministry is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.”(Lewis S. Chafer / The Great Doctrines of the Bible, 1998).

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, and Christ the Head of the Church. All those who accept the sacrifice of the cross and are born of the Spirit are members of the Body of Christ, and are seen by God as a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation.

We believe that the Church ought to perfect the saints for the work of ministry, edify the believers, enlighten and evangelize the world.
