MISSION STATEMENT:
New Vision Christian Church is a non-denominational body of Christian people who have dedicated their lives to teaching and sharing the word of God to all of mankind. It is New Vision’s purpose to provide a solid, sound, scriptural foundation to those individuals who have a fervent interest in understanding the Word of God, cultivating and enhancing their lives.
VISION STATEMENT:
The Vision Statement of New Vision Christian Church is directly derived from the vision given to Pastor Mond by God.
The fulfillment of the vision of “NEW VISION CHRISTIAN CHURCH” rests heavily on the abiding Words of Jesus Christ, who gives us the reason for our ministry:
For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ Matthew 25:35-36 (NASB)
By applying this scripture, we are carrying out one of the greatest calls of our ministry, to provide outreach to our surrounding communities. As stated in Matthew by Christ Himself, outreach is at the heart of God and we will not forget that at “NEW VISION CHRISTIAN CHURCH”.
New Vision's goal is to reach the masses, reconciling man back to God. We plan to be a vessel of God, demonstrating God's love in the earth, doing 21st century ministry while promoting Acts 2 church!

Here at New Vision we are Spirit led and not tradition bound. You will not experience the old "status quo." If you are looking for a real and relevant church connection; if you are looking for a fresh start, New Vision is for you! What We Believe
God
We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, on the third morning arose bodily from the grave for our Justification, and ascended into Heaven. According to scripture, accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the only way to heaven.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity (a triune God). The Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation, and is the Comforter and Guide Who lives in every believer.
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life and faith.
Man
We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Assurance
We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eternity
We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven through Christ spend eternity in Heaven.
Baptism & the Lord's Supper
We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ as the Bible notes in Matthew 28:19..."in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Baptism at New Vision Christian Church is by immersion after salvation.
The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming. At New Vision, communion takes place as the Holy Spirit leads. The Word of God states "as often as you do this..."
Speaking in Tongues
The apostle Paul classified speaking in tongues as just one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:6-11). Paul was thankful for his own gift of speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:18-19). But Paul told his churches that it was better practiced in private than in church, unless someone could interpret the speech (1 Corinthians 14:23, 27-28). The gift of speaking in tongues should not be forbidden (1 Corinthians 14:39). The gift of speaking in tongues being manifested in an individual experience during worship service is between the individual and God.
Giving
We believe that giving should be done in the form of Tithe and Offering as is instructed in Malachi 3:8-12 and reaffirmed in Matthew 23:23. Faithful and committed tithers of New Vision Christian Church have the liberty to view the income and expense record of New Vision Christian Church as well as their personal record of giving. Year-end contribution statements will be distributed in January of each year.
Our Mission at “NEW VISION CHRISTIAN CHURCH” is to operate as a Christ-Centered, Kingdom-Driven, outreach church focused on the holistic development of people, families, communities and ministry. Outreach is at the heart of God. Pastor Mond is a man after God's own heart. He has a desire, a passion for 21st century ministry. It is his hope and his plan to impact the community of Decatur by reaching out and inviting the unchurched to Christ. He has a desire to reach the churched who are tired of the "formality" of it all and are ready to "DO SOMETHING" more! Helping others is an integral part of outreach. New Vision has formulated programs for opportunities to assist others with basic human needs that must also be met prior to expecting a response to the call. These programs may be accessed through the outreach department of New Vision known as Attaining The Vision.
Pastor Mond's vision for outreach goes beyond simply inviting others to the church. It is maintained with educating new members, establishing an active support system for them and actively encouraging the use of their gifts for KINGDOM ministry. New Vision will provide a spiritual and social support system through fellowship in a faith filled environment. New members will be equipped with biblical principles consistent with the teachings of Christ in order to enrich their lives indefinitely.
