ABOUT SHERMAN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Sherman United Methodist Church is a part of the Chicago Northwestern District of the Northern Illinois Conference of the Global United Methodist Church. Our fellowship traces its roots back to 1922. Sherman Methodist is the only church on the Northshore named for a woman - Mrs. Lula B. Sherman, who hosted the original fellowship in her home. SUMC has resided at the current location since 2001 and is settled on a convenient corner at Ridge and Noyes in cozy Evanston , IL one block from the Purple Line train and four blocks from Northwestern University.
