About First Christian Church
First Christian Church is a non-denominational church of around 400 people that sits next to the Evansville airport off of HWY 57. It has 2 church services every Sunday and Sunday School classes for infants to senior adults that meet between services starting at 9:30 a.m. There are numerous small groups (care and life groups with Bible Studies) that meet during the week in various homes throughout Evansville. Besides having a loving and active children's ministry (pre-K to 5th grade), the student ministry (6th - 12th grades) meets regularly for Bible studies, weekly activities and events, as well as participates in community service projects. The adult senior ministry called Keenagers meets monthly for a special luncheon, travels to different local places each month, and plans a yearly one-day trip. Besides having a good lake with a fountain for those who enjoy fishing, there's a brand new 9-hole disc golf course as well as a fenced in playground area for small children and families to enjoy.

The staff at FCC regularly performs weddings, receptions and funerals and has limited counseling available to those in need, but these needs are often performed for regular attenders and members.
BELIEFS
- We believe in on God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:9-10)
- We believe God is the creator of all things (seen and unseen). (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)
- We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son, who was born (on earth) from a virgin, and who through His death and resurrection became the Savior of the world. (John 1:14; Matthew 1:18; John 20:24-31; Romans 5:6-11)

- We believe man, created by God, willing sinned against God and therefore is lost and without hope apart from Christ. (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:5-7)
- We believe that salvation for mankind comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (His death on the cross). (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:8-11; Ephesians 2:8-10)
- We believe the Bible teaches that the pattern to follow in order to receive Jesus as Savior is to believe in Christ as God's Son and Savior of the world, to repent (or turn) from personal sin; to confess Christ as Lord, and to be immersed in baptism. (Luke 24:45-47; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-7; 2 Peter 3:9)
