Our Mission

No matter who you are, where you've been or what you're seeking, we would be honored to be a part of your journey. Each of us is on a journey. A journey filled with privilege, heartache, and mixed blessings. Whatever path you're on, we want you to know that we value the time we might share with you as seekers. We're an inclusive community that welcomes believers and non-believers, encourages civil discourse, and finds comfort in diversity. Our fellowship is meant to ease your burden and enrich your life in Christ's name. We will not judge you or turn you away. You might even decide to stay.

About Church of the Nativity

Welcome to Church of the Nativity. You can find us at: www.churchofnativity.org. We're a small, but dedicated Episcopal congregation. As Episcopalians, we are followers of Jesus Christ, and both our worship and mission are alive in Christ’s name. In Jesus, we believe that the nature of God is love, and through baptism, we share in his victory over sin and death. At Church of the Nativity we love liturgy, traditional worship, and serving the Bread of Heaven in the name of Christ. We encourage you to study our mission, our ministries, and our service to the community. If you find meaning and purpose in our offerings, we invite you to attend one of our services or participate in one of our ministries. We need you and welcome you to Church of the Nativity.

BELIEFS

The Episcopal Church welcomes all who worship Jesus Christ in 109 dioceses and three regional areas in 17 nations. The Episcopal Church is a member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The mission of the church is "to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ." The 2012 General Convention established the Anglican Communion Five Marks of Mission as a mission priority framework for the 2013-2015 triennium: • To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom, • To teach, baptize and nurture new believers, • To respond to human need by loving, • To seek to transform unjust structures of society by challenging violence of every kind and pursuing peace and reconciliation, • To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
