Encouraging each other to passionately seek an awesome God.
Broadfording Church is made up of people who recognize that we don’t have it all together, but that Jesus does. We are a group of people who understand our brokenness, and realize that in the gospel, Jesus reached into our brokenness to restore the relationship between us and God, this relationship we were created for. Together, we are pursuing this God who loves us. And we invite you to join us on this journey. It’s okay to ask the difficult questions. It’s okay to wrestle with doubts. It’s okay to struggle with fears. Broadfording Church is a safe place to have these conversations. We’re strongly committed to God. We value His Word because in it God reveals Himself to us. We’re learning, as much as we struggle with it in our sinfulness, that life doesn’t revolve around me. Rather, we have a place in God’s story and He has created us as unique individuals with amazing gifts we can give back to Him. We’re on a mission to encourage each other to passionately seek an awesome God.

BELIEFS
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God (Colossians 1:15-23). He came to earth in the incarnation (John 1:1, 14) through the Virgin Birth (Matthew 1:23), and He is God (John 10:33). He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:14-16), died on the cross in our place (II Corinthians 5:11-21), and rose again to prove His victory and to give us power for living (I Corinthians 15). We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
THE TRINITY
We believe in one eternal God (I Timothy 1:17) who is the Creator of all things (Isaiah 40:28). He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14).
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is God’s Word. We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, was verbally inspired of God, is inerrant, accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our daily lives. It guides us in matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).
THE CREATION
We believe in creation, not evolution (Genesis 1); that man was created by the direct act of God and in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27).
THE SEPARATION
We believe that Adam and Eve, in yielding to the temptation of Satan, became fallen creatures (Genesis 3). We believe that all men are born in sin. We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purposes for our lives. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-12; Ephesians 2:8-10).
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, plus nothing, minus nothing, in the atoning blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives (John 3:16-21).
THE CHURCH
We believe in the power and significance of the church (Ephesians 3:7-13) and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together (Hebrews 10:24-25). We also believe it is important for believers to promote unity and harmony in Christ as a testimony to the world (Ephesians 4:1-6; John 17:20-23; Galatians 3:26-28).
