About Mile City
In 2013, Pastor Travis and his wife, Jen, moved back to their hometown in South Lyon, Michigan. Travis grew up off of 10 Mile and his parents have a farm on 6 Mile. No matter where you live in metro Detroit, we are surrounded by Mile signs and these help guide us to move in the right direction. However, it can be easy to miss those signs and not pay attention to them. That is what sparked the vision for Mile City. Travis and Jen felt strongly that, in a similar way, many people have become numb to all of the signs God has placed around us to get our attention and move our lives in the right direction. They felt God leading them to create an experience for people of all backgrounds to come explore, get their questions answered, and begin moving towards God. So in 2015, a launch team of 75 people set out together to plant Mile City. Travis and Jen are now raising their family back on 10 Mile with their four children, Tristan, Lena, London and Tavin, and are honored to lead the Mile City family.
