I found a Church to call home

I was deployed in 2008 to Iraq and returned in 2010 and after I returned from deployment I found out that our pastor from my previous church had left. I liked the church and continued to go but found that I wasn't being fulfilled in my spirit. I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me to a church that would fill me with the holy spirit. I searched on the internet for Assembly of God churches in my area and the church I was looking for was no longer there. Disheartened I turned my car around to go home but in the process I realized I was lost. It was a Wednesday night and I saw this little white church with cars in the parking lot and thought I would just go in and check it out. When I opened that church door my spirit leaped and I felt comforted and welcomed. (I hadn't even met anybody yet except the LORD who touched my heart). I walked into the sanctuary and the pastor was conducting bible study and with his booming voice said, "Welcome come on in." I felt welcomed and enjoyed the bible study. After service everyone welcomed me and I just knew I had to come back that Sunday. I knew that the Lord had answered my prayers and led me to this church. My husband saw the change in me and decided to attend. After a couple of services he re-dedicated his life to Christ as well as my mother-in-law and we have been members since. This church is small but huge when it comes to truly worshiping the Lord. If your looking for a church that's down to earth and speaks the Word of God, then Celebration of Praise is the Church to be. Tell them Willie sent you!
