Meet The Pastor

Founder and Pastor Cory Ball
Hi, I’m Cory Ball, the founding pastor of Redemption Community Church. Just like you, I have an origin story. I grew up in a family that was passionate about Ohio State football, Jesus, and the Church. In some ways, it was the default “Ohioian American” experience. At a Christian music festival just before turning thirteen, I made the decision to follow Jesus. In the years after accepting Jesus, I went on to pursue an undergrad degree in Student Ministry, and I am close to completing a Master of Arts in Theology.
I’m blessed to be married to my amazing wife, Allison, and we share our home with our beautiful daughter Ansley and our dog Brutus. I love hobbies and I’ve even turned my hobby of leatherwork into a small business. I’m passionate about the outdoors—whether it’s hunting or fishing or hiking with Allison and Brutus, I am all in with anything outside. (Except camping… we conquered the outdoors with the invention of the modern mattress and AC… why subject ourselves to sleeping on the ground in a puddle of sweat?) My life verse is Luke 9:62; “But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”” This verse has shaped my life and shapes the spirit of our church as we stay focused on God’s mission and what lies ahead.
When I was at that music festival as a teenager, standing in the midst of 15,000 people, I never dreamt I would one day start a church in Kirkwood, Missouri for... you. Redemption is a church that exists to welcome those who have struggled to feel welcomed in a church. If you have ever felt that, then Redemption is for you. Welcome, we’re glad you’re here."
