Alongside our ministry of worship and preaching we want to reach our world for Christ! In the past year our members have supported missionaries both here in the US and abroad, the Central Missouri Food Bank, a children’s Bible camp in the Ozarks (Sagrada Scholarship Bible Camp), Operation Christmas Child and regularly collect food for Sedalia’s Open Door food pantry. More information is on our website.
Our food pantry is a once-a-month mobile food bank that comes from the Central Missouri Food Bank. It is on the second Tuesday of every month from 4-5pm. There is no income requirement only that you register and provide demographic data.
BELIEFS
At Bethany Baptist Church we emphasize the clear preaching of the Bible, biblically rooted music, prayer, and loving fellowship. We do this because we believe that God sent His Son to die in the place of sinners and to offer forgiveness and eternal life to all who turn to Him and trust in Him. You can know now that you are going to Heaven! The New Testament calls these promises the Gospel – “good news.” We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and sufficient to address every issue of life with complete authority. Our confidence in the Scriptures is reflected in our pattern of preaching through books of the Bible.
We regard the 1858 Southern Seminary "Abstract of Principles" as an excellent, though not inspired, expression of the teaching of the Word of God. This historic Southern Baptist document is an assistance in controversy, a confirmation in faith, and a means of edification in righteousness.
