OUR MISSION
At St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, we believe that it is our divine calling to serve the present age; to provide relief to the suffering, to comfort the sick, to house the homeless, to feed the hungry, visit the confined, to aid children’s physiological, emotional and educational needs, to comfort the aging, to pray for humankind everywhere and to proclaim the riches of the Kingdom of God, and this we shall do with God being our helper.
ABOUT SAINT MARK AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH
The African Methodist Episcopal Church, usually called the A.M.E. Church, is a predominantly African-American Methodist denomination based in the United States. It was founded by the Rev. Richard Allen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1816 from several black Methodist congregations. We have many ministries at St. Mark, that serve the various age groups, both genders and the needs of the community. Some of these are; grief counseling, teen boys, teen girls, men, summer academy, praise dance and mime, feeding ministry and many others. Our arms are open to all of God's children, please feel free to give us a call for more information. Contact us at (252) 977-0639.
