BELIEFS

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church is a community of believers centered on Jesus Christ and the faith entrusted to the Church from the time of the Apostles. We worship the one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and proclaim Jesus as true God and true man, the source of our salvation. We hold the Catholic Church to be one, holy, catholic, and apostolic, continuing the mission Christ gave to His disciples. We celebrate the seven Sacraments He instituted—Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Matrimony, and Holy Orders—with the Eucharist at the heart of our life together. Through the liturgy and the rhythm of the Church year, we are continually drawn into deeper communion with God. We affirm the dignity of every human person, created in the image and likeness of God, and we strive to live lives of holiness through prayer, virtue, and the Works of Mercy. Salvation is God’s gift, offered through Christ, and we respond through faith, good works, repentance, and participation in the Sacraments. Our parish is blessed with a wide range of ministries that support both our parish family and the broader community. Among these, Walking With Moms in Need plays a special role by offering compassionate, practical support to pregnant and parenting mothers who are facing difficult circumstances. Alongside this ministry, parishioners serve in Adoration, the Adult Choir, Altar Servers, the Building and Landscaping Committee, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Comite Guadalupano, the Disciples of Jesus and Mary, the DVD and Book Lending Library, Eucharistic Ministers, the Gift Shop, Homebound Eucharistic Ministry, the Knights of Columbus, the Ladies’ Guild, Lay Carmelites, Lectors, the Martha Mary Ministry, the Multi‑Cultural Choir, Natural Family Planning, the Prayer and Life Workshop, the Prayer Quilt and Shawl Ministry, the Prayer Tree, OCIA for children and adults, the Respect Life Committee, Sound and Video Technicians, Ushers, the Vocations Committee, the Young Adult Group, and the Youth Group. These ministries reflect the diverse gifts of our parish and offer meaningful opportunities for involvement for all ages. We also serve our bilingual community with a Sunday Spanish Mass at 2:00pm and offer Spanish‑language ministry opportunities so that Spanish‑speaking parishioners can fully participate in the sacramental and community life of the parish. Faith formation is central to our mission. We provide religious education for children and youth, including early faith formation, preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion, and a structured two‑year Confirmation program. Adults seeking to enter the Church or deepen their understanding of the faith are supported through OCIA, adult religious education, Bible studies, and ongoing formation opportunities that help parishioners grow as disciples at every stage of life. As a parish community, we stand firm in the truth of the Catholic faith, committed to worship, discipleship, and service. We welcome all who seek to encounter Christ, grow in His grace, and become part of a faithful, supportive, and prayerful parish family.
