Our Mission
Based out of central Long Island, Sound of Heaven Church is patterned after the Biblical model of the Antioch Church from the book of Acts. Antioch was a multi-cultural apostolic releasing church that sent ministries to influence the world for the Kingdom of God. Strong anointed leaders, prophetic vision, and the desire to do the work of Christ has helped Sound of Heaven become “The fastest growing church on Long Island” with a heart to make a global impact.
SOH was planted in July of 2011 under the leadership of Apostles John and Rachel Ova (Slionski). Some of the things that make The Sound of Heaven so unique are:
1) Powerful/Prophetic “Davidic Worship” - a place where believers gather to worship and seek His face, expecting to experience the presence and glory of God.
2) Clear Biblical Teachings- Messages that are easily applicable to your everyday life. We are not just a church but a training center for leaders of all different levels.
3) International Ministry- Already planting churches in Haiti and Africa, God has given us a vision and a divine mandate to bring Apostolic Reformation to the nations.
If you are in the Long Island area, we invite you to be a part of our services. We are getting testimonies everyday of the lives that are changed here through the power of God. We look forward to meeting you!!!

Ephesians 4:11-16- ”And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”
