BELIEFS

Bible 1. We believe the Bible to be the divinely inspired Word of God and the revelation of His will to man and accept it as our rule for faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16) 2. We believe the Bible holds value for all people both in its original writing and its translation into the common tongue. The scripture is to be interpreted according to their context and purpose and in reverent obedience to the Lord. (Acts 2:6) Mankind 1. We believe that since mankind is created in God’s image, human life is of incalculable worth from conception to the grave. Therefore, we believe we must honor the physical and spiritual needs of all people; following Christ’s example, we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity, and respect. (Psalm 139:13; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galations 6:10) 2. We believe that marriage is the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime and a sacred institution established by God. (Hebrews 13:4 Jeremiah 29:6 1 Corinthians 7:2) God 1. We believe in one God ever present and represented as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Corinthians 3:16, John 14:9-11) Jesus 1. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood for our sin, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.( Luke 1:34-35, Luke 24:4-6,51) Holy Spirit 1. We believe in Gods Holy Spirit that is a free gift for all mankind and bestowed on all believers to guide them and conform them to the image of Jesus Christ. (Acts 8:19-20 1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Church 1. We believe the church is not brick and mortar but rather every man woman and child that belongs to the Lord, and we are to be an active part of the community of believers. (Ephesians 3) 2. We believe our Fellowship to be only a small part of the great grand vision of God, but having an obligation to do big things to advance His Kingdom(1 Corinthians14:12 Colossians1:18) 3. We believe each individual should exercise the gifts and offices provided for in the New Testament to benefit the Fellowship, the community and the world. (1Corinthians12:7-11) 4. We believe the ministry of evangelism and discipleship are the responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ( Matthew 28:18-20 Acts 1:8 1 Peter 3:15) Baptism 1. We believe that Baptism is for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and is to be administered by immersion, thus bearing witness to the gospel of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection for us, and our own new life in Him. (Luke 3:3 Colossians 2:12 Heaven and Hell 1. We believe Heaven and Hell are real places that out of love God gives us the choice to spend eternity with Him or without. (Matthew 23:15, Acts 2:27, Matthew 7:21)
