BELIEFS

We are a United Methodist congregation that follows God. We believe that God makes grace available to all people. Grace is central to our understanding of Christian faith and life. Grace can be defined as the love and mercy given to us by God because God wants us to have it, not because of anything we have done to earn it.

We learn more about God and God's call on our lives through: scripture, tradition, experience, and reason. Scripture is core, but it cannot be understood without the other three pieces.

We believe that we experience God through community: God has created us to live, work, and grow with each other. It is our hope and goal to do all and only those things that express our love of God, neighbors and ourselves.

We are a reconciling congregation: we believe that God loves and welcomes ALL of God's children, regardless of sexuality or understanding of your own gender. You are welcome among us.
