ABOUT SCIOTOVILLE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
Everyone is looking for a place to belong. Many have found our church to be that place for their family. We believe in and value every individual and family.
We seek to connect folks with the God who loves them. We recognize our need for a Savior no matter what we’ve done, said or thought… and no matter how long we’ve been a part of His church.
None of us have arrived at perfection, but we believe that holiness is God’s standard for what He sees as best for our lives. So, we seek to grow closer to God and each other in the church.
We would love nothing more than for you to find what we have found: faith, hope and love in this community of believers. If there is anything we can do for you or your family to help you, please feel free to call, write or ask us. We especially encourage you to check out our new Church App. If you are in need of any pastoral services, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

BELIEFS
THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
The Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene is part of the international protestant Wesleyan-holiness denomination known as the Church of the Nazarene. We are called the Church of the Nazarene because Jesus was raised in the Israeli town of Nazareth, thus making him a “Nazarene.” Because we are Christians, we are the Church of the “Nazarene.”
The Church of the Nazarene believes:
In one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [The Trinity]
The Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary [complete] inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
Human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
The finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
The atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
Our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
