About GUTS Church - Sapulpa
In December 1992, Pastors Bill and Sandy Scheer pioneered Guts Church in the heart of Tulsa. From the start, Guts provided an extraordinary experience for everyone, especially the unchurched.
Now, 25 years later, with services and programs throughout the week in Tulsa, Skiatook, Sapulpa and online, thousands call Guts Church home, and lives are changed daily.
Hundreds of thousands have made Jesus the Lord of their lives through outreaches like “The Nightmare®,” the “Tougher Than Hell Motorcycle Rally®” and the Guts Distribution Center, which houses the Friday Groceries outreach.

BELIEFS
The Bible:
We believe the Bible is God’s perfect work and is fully applicable in every situation that we face in life. The Word is our final authority and our success in life is dependent on it. (Psalm 119:160, Hebrews 4:12)
Salvation:
Salvation is not earned but is a gift to everyone who chooses to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. (John 3:16, Revelation 20:15)
God's Will:
God’s will for our lives as believers is to become whole and successful in every area of life. The full meaning of the word salvation is to be complete and lacking nothing: spiritually, mentally, physically or financially. (Ephesians 2:8, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Philippians 4:7-8, 1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 9:6-10)
God's Image:
We know that every man and woman was created in God’s image, but because of sin in the world, we have been separated from God. The hope that we have is reconciliation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:11-12, Romans 3:23)
The Trinity:
There is only one God, the creator of heaven and earth, and He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:27)
The Holy Spirit:
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift that is available to anyone who has received Jesus Christ as Lord. Speaking in tongues is evidence that someone has received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Psalm 119:160, Hebrews 4:12)
“If you don’t quit, you win.” This statement unmistakably characterizes the life of Pastor Bill Scheer. With a decision to get all of God that he could get more than 30 years ago, he began to pursue the call of God on his life. Guts Church was founded on a passion to reach people who weren’t being reached in a way that wasn’t being done already and quite frankly, with a passion to do what everyone said couldn’t be done.
Almost 25 years later and never taking no for an answer, he now finds himself, “husband of the best wife in the world, father to the most wonderful kids in the world, Pastor to the greatest church in the world, and humbled at how gracious God is,” – in short, the greatest life imaginable.
He resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he and his wife, Sandy, pastor Guts Church. They have three children, son Taylor and his wife Cassidi, daughter Brooklyn and her husband Press, and daughter Kennedy. They also have two granddaughters, Charleston and Teale.
