BELIEFS
New Life Church belongs to a larger denomination known as the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. The Foursquare Church was founded by Aimee Semple McPherson in the early 1900's. Today there are over 60,000 churches meeting in 140 countries! We are proud to be a part of this family and a part of something bigger than ourselves.
The term "foursquare" refers to the four-fold ministry of Jesus: Our Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-Coming King. We believe that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrew 13:8). The Jesus presented in the Bible is the same Jesus who is alive today and living in us.
Characteristics of Foursquare churches include biblical preaching, balanced theology, a desire for community, Spirit led lives/services, and a dedication to worldwide evangelism. People from all walks of life will find love, acceptance, and forgiveness in our doors. While individual Foursquare churches may vary in personality, you will discover in all a commitment to unity and faithfulness to the essential beliefs of God's Word.
