Our church is comfortable: we have about 100-150 people at each service, with cushioned seating upstairs in the sanctuary; a downstairs cafe area also has a live video feed of the service; all of our attendees dress casually for church. 2. Service starts with four or five songs by our band, words on screens if you want to sing 3. A message from the Bible by one of our pastors (you can see some examples online). From start to finish, our services usually run an hour and fifteen minutes. Coffee & cookies downstairs after each service. Small Groups
We offer Growth Groups during the week. They occur throughout the week in various homes, and we call them Growth Groups. By processing and applying what’s taught together, the groups take Sunday’s message deeper: from hearing to doing. Questions are provided weekly to guide these relevant and genuine conversations as well as personal application of the topic.

BELIEFS

OUR CORE VALUES Biblical Literacy We are committed to studying and teaching the Bible with accuracy and clarity so that we may know God and apply His timeless truth to our lives today. We believe developing a biblical worldview is essential for growing more like Jesus Christ and being equipped for every good work. (Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) Community As members of Christ’s body, we are all inter-connected and dependent upon one another. Being united in Christ-centered relationships is necessary for our spiritual growth and our witness for a watching world. We are committed to fostering a safe community where we share life, exercise our spiritual gifts, and build up one another in love. (John 17:20-21; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:15) Mission We have the responsibility and heart to share the message of Jesus Christ with those who are spiritually lost and to invite them to turn to the Lord for forgiveness, new life, and a permanent home in his family. We seek to lovingly speak grace and truth into our culture with our lips and our lives, our words and our works. (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 19:10; John 13:34-35) Worship Authentic worship must be heartfelt and grounded and guided by God’s truth. It is not merely an activity confined to a particular time and place, but rather a way of life. Therefore, we strive to love and honor God both in our personal lives and in the corporate worship of our church. (John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1) See http://www.calvarychapelsalem.com/about/statement-of-faith/ for more.
