OUR MISSION
We, the people of St. John’s, believe God calls us to:
• Grow and be nourished by reason, scripture and tradition.
• Comfort all God’s children, rejoicing in the diversity of the whole human family.
• Fearlessly proclaim a radical tradition of God’s inclusive love for all.
• Demonstrate God’s love by finding Christ in service to others.

ABOUT ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Huntingdon Valley Chapel is the home of St. John's, an Episcopal church community that values a warm, inclusive welcome for all of God's children. You are invited to come as you are to take part in our Sunday worship with Holy Eucharist at 9:00 a.m. We also offer an intimate service of Compline with Centering Prayer, Wednesdays at 8:00 p/m/, and co-host monthly services of healing Prayer at Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, in Jenkintown.
As the Holy Spirit calls and guides you, we pray that your journey may be fed and formed by living faith, loving prayer, and caring service!

Other Ministries Available
There are various areas in which your gifts would be most welcome. Worship-related ministries include preparing the altar, arranging the flowers, singing, reading lessons, ushering, and serving on the altar. Your talents are welcome both in and outside of worship. We are currently working to expand our outreach, and we are open to creating new ministries that would make the best use of the gifts that you bring to St. John's.
BELIEFS
We believe in the one God who is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier. While our faith is based in scripture, we understand scripture through tradition and reason. That 'reason' component means there can be a wide diversity of opinion among members of the church. However, we come together in worship through Christ.
