About Collective Church

After over 10 years of serving in ministry, God made it very clear to Pastors Drew and Morgan to start Collective Church. God did some pretty incredible things to show them that it was time to plant a new, life giving church in Omaha. Collective Church started with 14 people in their living room, then we moved to the basement with children's ministry happening upstairs. We then fully launched as a church in September of 2021 at Millard North High School. It has been quite a journey of God's overwhelming grace. We hope that when you come, you sense the tangible love and grace of God, through His people!

BELIEFS

The Summary In essential beliefs– we have Unity. (Ephesians 4:4-6) In non-essential beliefs– we have Freedom. (Romans 14:1,4,12,22) In all our beliefs– we show Love. (1 Corinthians 13:2) The Essentials We Believe: The Bible is the inspired Word of God. There is only one God, seen in three persons through the Trinity - The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All three persons of the Trinity are equal in authority and deity which can be seen through Jesus as both 100% God and 100% man. The Holy Spirit is still active today through people and the spiritual gifts. God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sin- fully going their own way. Our sin separates us from our perfect God, a debt that can only be paid by a perfect, divine sacrifice. This was accomplished through the historical reality of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of a sinless Jesus Christ. This single event overcame sin, death and the separation between God and man for all who believe, confess, and repent toward Him as Lord and Savior, and is not earned by our effort! After this salvation, we are in continual process in becoming more like Jesus every day and are called according to His purpose by practicing spiritual disciplines, spiritual fruit, and spiritual gifts through the filling, empowerment, and baptism in the Holy Spirit. The two ordinances of the Church we are all to practice is water baptism as a public declaration of an inward, spiritual reality and communion in remembering Jesus, His life and sacrifice, and our response thereto. At the end of this world, Jesus is coming again to institute judgement and His full Kingdom through a new Heaven and new Earth. Until that day we are to continue to pursue the bringing of Heaven on Earth as we know it. Government Submissive to the Fellowship General Council affiliate church of the Assemblies of God Nebraska Assemblies of God Network Accountable to the Board Accountability board - Outside source of trusted leaders who are called upon in emergencies for major moral failures or potential firings. In absence of this board, Board of Directors fulfill these roles. Board of Directors - Approving of major motions, changes, hires, and purchases. Made up for the first 2-3 years mostly of local, trusted pastors to be replaced by internal elders at the end of their commitment. Led by the Pastor God speaks the vision to the Pastor, who is usually the trigger-puller, but first submits major actions for approval from the Board of Directors. Championed by the Point People The Pastor empowers, directs, and unifies these key team leaders. Carried out by the Servant Leaders We all lead through serving and through developing personally as leaders who develop leaders who develop leaders.
