Our Mission
Anytime you consider going to a new church, it's important that you understand the Vision that church has and decide if you can get behind it. After all, doesn't the Word say "without a vision, My people perish (Proverbs 29:18)"??
It's easy to say "Our church has a vision to win Caldwell and the surrounding area for Christ." Guess what, every church has that "vision", every church has that calling. So, can we really call that a unique Vision for our Church?
A vision has to be something specific that God has called you to...it's something that's bigger than you are....something that you can only accomplish through the supernatural intervention of God!! With that in mind, we have sought, and continue to seek, God for His current vision for us, as well as His ongoing Vision for us!
So, what IS the Vision of Celebration Church?
od has shown us several unique things that He desires in our church. While other churches may share some of these ideas, we are determined to allow God's Spirit to move among us and create this Vision in our midst! Yes, we want to reach the lost for Jesus...yes, we want to grow...but for Celebration Church, the uniqueness of the Vision God has given us is in HOW we go about being "Church" and reaching the lost!!
Our Vision:
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may reach out in grace, love, and mercy to those who need Him.
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may see each person as His precious child and accept them without judgment or condemnation.
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may love freely, never being offended, and lovingly stand with each of His children as they grow and mature in their faith.
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may always present the Gospel in a boldness that is guided by love and not a zealous boldness in which we use God's Word to condemn those to whom we minister. The Word of God is meant to bring life, not condemnation.
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may create a Body of Believers that is joyful, welcoming, and loving. We are called to make sure that each person who visits us at Celebration Church, or joins us as a member, leaves each week knowing that their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs have been met by us to the best of our ability and resources, that they leave feeling uplifted and loved, and that they leave feeling equipped and fired up to serve, change lives, and win the lost.
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may walk faithfully with Him and take each step of faith that He shows us no matter how radical or "unreasonable" it may sound in our flesh. We are learning, through the guidence of the Holy Spirit, to be a church that understands how awesome and mighty our God is!!
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we may walk faithfully with Him, never limiting the Vision He casts for our future, based on what we see in the present.
** God has called us to die to ourselves so that we will be a church void of gossip, politics, backbiting, and other such behaviors that do not advance the Kingdom of God. Instead, we will seek to always walk in love, encouragement, and grace. We will seek to always see others through the eyes of God.
