About CJCLife

COMMON QUESTIONS WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE? Each weekend at CJCLife you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled CJC Kids service. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME? If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES? You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because CJCLife is not about what you look like or what you wear. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? CJCLife is Located at 6401 Bandera Rd, San Antonio Texas 78238. DO YOU HAVE A MIDWEEK SERVICE? We have a dynamic mid-week service which focuses on worship and Bible study. Our special First Thursday service occurs once a month and includes praise and worship, prayer and communion. WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN? At CJCLife your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called CJC Kids as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college. HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED? There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Find 101 Membership Class. Small groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW? Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Life Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next Find 101 Membership Class. WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS? Small groups are an important part of CJCLife; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As CJCLife grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups, or find a group to visit in our directory. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP? One of the easiest things to do at CJCLife is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout Central San Antonio and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a small group near you. Check out our online directory and visit a group this week.

BELIEFS

Our purpose at CJCLife is we do minus sin “To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might become fully devoted followers of Christ.” We filter every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it. Our statement of purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus: Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” MATTHEW 22:36-40 NIV He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. MARK 16:15-17, 20 NIV CJCLife exists: To worship God with sincere expression. To share the Good News of Jesus with others. To connect with other believers in meaningful relationships. To prepare disciples to fulfill their purpose. To encourage leaders in their God-given destiny. To offer hope and healing You can learn more about our purpose as a church at Find 101 and more about how your gifts and calling fit into that purpose in Grow 301.
