About Sportsmen Church
SPORTSMEN CHURCH is located in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana. We are deeply rooted in God’s Word, overwhelmed by His love, and saved by His GRACE. We seek to share Jesus in a real and relevant way. We are UNIQUE because of our strong passion for the outdoors. We love hunting, fishing, hiking, camping… any activity that allows us to spend time in God’s beautiful creation. We are a church family that seeks AUTHENTIC relationships that glorify God. We are COMMITTED to leading the lost to Jesus and INVESTED in loving and SERVING our community
Tired of the repetitious routine of the church doing the same thing over and over and seeing little impact on the lives of others, SPORTSMEN CHURCH is devoted to worship and ministries that bring others closer to Jesus…not ritual and religion.
We are continually working to break down the traditional barriers that are keeping people from PASSIONATELY following Jesus. One way we’ve done this in Montana is by having our weekly service on Wednesday night because so many people in our area reserve their weekends to be outdoors. We want to meet people right where they’re at and let them know that Jesus LOVES them. We host gopher hunting events, 3D archery shoots, Adventure Camp for kids, Bow Hunter Education Classes, weekend camping trips, bow fishing events, hiking treks, gun safety classes, and many other outreach activities that draw people in who typically would not attend a church function.
SPORTSMEN CHURCH is founded on the inspired word of God. His word will not be watered down. Our worship services are casual, “Come as you are” with contemporary worship and solid Biblical teaching. Not avoiding the tough stuff, Ian delivers messages that are REAL and applicable to daily life…in a unique way that hunters and sportsmen can grasp. Speakin’ Their Language…
The church has left the building! Whether in the community, at the lake, or in the woods, much of the ministry of SPORTSMEN CHURCH takes place out and about...where people are doing life. We are excited about MULTIPLYING the vision of SPORTSMEN CHURCH across the state of Montana as well as the Nation. We want to cultivate relationships and MOBILIZE leaders to go into all the world to Love, Lead, and Disciple!
