BELIEFS
God – We believe that there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus – We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as the sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave and ascended into heaven.
The Holy Spirit – We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convicting unbelievers of their need for salvation and is the Comforter and Guide who lives in every believer.
Satan – We believe that He is the enemy of God and and is the accuser of the saints. He is the author of all evil but will ultimately be punished in hell for all eternity.
The Bible – We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, communicated to man through divine inspiration, it is without any error, and is the sole authority for life and faith.
Man – We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation.
Salvation – We believe that salvation is a gift, available to all, received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Assurance – We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Baptism – We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation.
The Church – We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the head. All men are in need of both the ministry and fellowship of the church body.
Marriage and the Family – God ordained marriage between one man and one woman, and the loving relationship between a husband and wife is a reflection of Christ and His love for His church. Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, pedophilia, bestiality, and all such forms of sexual perversion are sin and will be judged by God. Christ reigns over the home. The husband is the spiritual leader in the home and should follow Christ and love His wife enough to die for her. The wife is the helper to her husband, and should submit to her husband as she submits to Christ. The children should submit to their parents as unto the Lord (the wife and husband both having authority over their children.
Prayer – We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Resurrection and the Return of Christ – We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth in the same manner in which He was received up into heaven – bodily, personally, visible; that the dead in Christ shall rise first, those who have not died physically shall be “changed” (1 Cor. 15:51), “then they which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16). Upon His return, Christ will rule on the earth for a thousand years, and His saints will rule with Him until all enemies are put under His feet.
Eternity – We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, and those persons who die with their sins forgiven through Christ, will spend eternity in Christ’s Kingdom.
