The Leesburg Church of Christ stands in the historical flow of the American Restoration Movement, a heritage born out of the belief to “speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where the Bible is silent.” This is a posture of religious freedom to, in the spirit of the Christians in Berea, “receive the word with great eagerness, examining the Scripture daily to make sure these things (which we believe) are so (Acts 17:11).” We cling to this 19th century heritage of liberty so that we can live out this apostolic Gospel and the will of God faithfully in the 21st century America in which we live.
A typical worship service is built around Bible reading, prayer, acapella singing, prayer, giving, and, at the center, the fellowship of the Lord’s Supper (Communion). Our call to salvation is to hear the Word (Romans 10:17), believe in Jesus (John 3:16), repent of your sins (Acts 26:20), confess His Name (1 Timothy 6:12), be baptized into His death, burial, and resurrection from which you are raised to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3-4). We are committed to discipleship (following Jesus), evangelism (saving the lost locally and around the world), and strengthening the disciples (edification and encouragement). If you are visiting our area or new to Loudoun County, please come by and worship with us. We meet at Balls Bluff Elementary School at 821 Battlefield Parkway NE Leesburg, VA (20176). Bible study and Sunday School are at 10 AM and Worship starts at 11 AM. We meet on Zoom on Wednesday nights at 7 PM.
