Our Mission

The Christian Fellowship Ministries take seriously Christ's commission to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Therefore, our mission as a fellowship has always been to fulfill Christ's Great Commission through discipleship, church planting, and world evangelism. It was Christ Himself who commanded His followers to "make disciples of all the nations," and the simple obedience to this command by our founding Pastor Wayman Mitchell that has been imparted as our fellowship's vision. With this focus, we are constantly endeavoring to reach unsaved and un-churched people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to spread the good news of God's love and saving grace throughout the world. Whether we use Christian bands, movies, dramas, street preaching, or door-to-door evangelism, our focus and mission is to help lead people into their own personal relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ. "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30

About Victory Chapel

A local church with a world vision to reach the lost through evangelism, discipleship and church planting. God can forgive, save, change, deliver, set free and use any life. Nothing is impossible when you put your faith and hope in Christ. If you want to do something for God, this is definitely the right place. OUR ROOTS Victory Chapel in Parkland, WA is affiliated with Victory Chapel Guam and Christian Fellowship Ministries founded by Wayman Mitchell, senior pastor of The Potter’s House Church of Prescott, Arizona. Beginning in 1973, this body (originally First Foursquare Church) has mothered an entire fellowship of churches which go by various names. These include The Door, The Potter’s House, and Victory Chapel. The fellowship now includes more than 2,000 churches worldwide. OUR VISION One unique facet of Christian Fellowship Ministry churches is the discipleship and training of couples within the local congregations for the purpose of planting churches. True to the same vision, Victory Chapel presses into the front line of World Evangelism and Church Planting OUR MINISTRIES Ministries include Holy Ghost preaching from Pastor John Shaw and revival services with gifted evangelists. Beyond the doors of the church the gospel is presented through Bible studies, park concerts, dramas, outdoor videos and other forms of outreach. Victory Chapel is dedicated to winning souls as we strive to be faithful to the Great Commission.

BELIEFS

Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came and died on the cross as the final sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Three days later Jesus rose from the dead, thereby proving his deity, and enabling us to be saved through His name. Jesus will rapture His church, then later return for His millennial rule on Earth. There will be an ultimate Day of Judgment where all will be individually judged and rewarded. The doomed will be eternally damned in the literal Lake of Fire, and the redeemed will enter Heaven as their eternal home. There are three primary experiences of the Christian life: Salvation, Water Baptism, and Holy Spirit Baptism. 1. Salvation •Salvation is initiated by a prayer of faith in Jesus. •Salvation is completed by God's grace. •Salvation is maintained by a lifestyle of Biblical righteousness. •Salvation is demonstrated by works. •Salvation is lost when we sin and do not repent. •Salvation is necessary to enter Heaven in eternity. 2. Water Baptism •Water Baptism was exemplified by Christ. •Water Baptism is not necessary to be saved, but is definitely an important Christian experience not to be negated. • Water Baptism is a public demonstration of faith in Jesus Christ. • Water Baptism is executed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. 3. Holy Spirit Baptism • Holy Spirit Baptism is evidenced by speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:45–46) • Holy Spirit Baptism is an experience different and distinct from Salvation or Water Baptism. (Acts 1:5; Acts 10:44) There are four primary responsibilities of each Christian: Prayer, Outreach, Reading the Bible, and Fellowship. 1. Daily Prayer •Seeking God in prayer is a fundamental necessity of maintaining our relationship with Him. 2. Outreach •Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. 3. Reading the Bible •Feeding our spirit with the Word of God, and living thereby. 4. Fellowship •Gathering together in a local assembly of believers for worship and admonition, and spiritually enriching camaraderie with other believers.
