Sunday, August 24, 2014 was the official ground breaking ceremony for the Family Life Center. On October 6, 2014, Phase One of the construction of the center commenced. The construction of the Life Center was completed in April of 2015. At the end of December, 2014, we lost a pillow of the Jacksonville, AR community and a favorite father/son/uncle of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
On Sunday, June 14, 2015, we officially dedicated the Curtis A. Green Family Life Center of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church at 1026 Ray Road, Jacksonville, AR 72076. It has a full size gymnasium, plenty of meeting rooms, a large multi-purpose room, and a large industrial size kitchen. This building is available for use by our church and community for business, recreational and social events.
Our members are active in community outreach projects, such as the NAACP, the annual Susan G. Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure and the Jacksonville Care Channel. They make visits to the Jacksonville Nursing Home to minister the Word, sing songs of Zion, and our youth perform Praise Dances for the patients. Our young people are involved in the handling of meals during the holiday season at the Watershed Human and Community Development Agency, Inc. in Little Rock, AR.
Annually we have a large Community-invited Picnic with plenty of children related activities; a Back to School Bash distributing over 300 backpacks stocked with basic school supplies, and offering haircuts without charge; medical and dental screenings for adults and children; and educational resources are made available, all without charge.
BELIEFS
Our emphasis is to reach those who are lost and to regenerate their life through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are an expectant church that expects Christ's return to receive His church and judge the world (Matt. 24:42-44; I Thessalonians: 4:16-17).
