Our Mission

The Stone that the Builders rejected... has become the Chief Cornerstone ~ Psalm 118:22
To Worship God in Spirit, and in truth (John 4:23; Matt. 22:37-40) To Help People come to understand their need for salvation through Jesus Christ alone by His life, death and resurrection on the cross. (John 14:6; John 19:30; John 8:32) To Edify and Mature Believers by teaching the whole counsel of God, not succumbing to worldly philosophies or methods which might compromise the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:27; Romans 12:1-2; Col. 2:6-8, Eph 5:1) To Submit to the power of the Holy Spirit to convict, exhort, witness, forgive (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:39; John 20:22-23) To Exhort Families to walk together in Christ by encouraging and equipping men to follow their God given directive as the spiritual leaders of the family. (Eph. 5:22-6:4, Deut. 6:5-7; Deut. 11:18-19) To Regain the Value of Family as God's primary vehicle for communicating His Word, His covenant promises to the next generation, and to reestablish the value of family Headship as defined in God's Word.

BELIEFS

We believe in One God (Deut. 6:4, Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4), eternally existing in three Persons, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, distinctively known as the Trinity. He is creator and Lord of the Universe, perfect, omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere present), infinite (always is) and omnipotent (all powerful). (Genesis 1:1, Hebrews 1:1-3) We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament is the divinely inspired Word of God (Matthew 5:18; John 17:17). It is God’s written revelation to man, authoritative in our lives, and it is inerrant in the original documents, infallible and God inspired (2 Timothy 3 16-17). It reveals God’s heart, desire, purpose and requirements for the believer. In all, it points to salvation through Jesus Christ alone by His grace through faith. (Eph 2:8-10) We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16) and is coequal and coeternal with the Father (John 10:30; 14:9), was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death on the cross to atone for our sins. He rose bodily from the grave ascended into heaven where as truly God and truly man, He is the only mediator between God & man. (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-3; Philippians 2:5-11) We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and as such, works in the lives of people to convict of sin, righteousness and judgment and draw to Christ. For those who repent of sin and confess Jesus Christ as Savior, the Holy Spirit indwells in them to regenerate and bring about maturity and constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness love and power. Believers are called to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit to bear fruit to the glory of God and to not walk in the flesh. (John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26-27; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9, 14; 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, 6:19, 12:4-13; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18-21) We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit, however, not at the expense of order in the assembly (1 Corinthians 14) nor as an emphasis over the day to day sanctifying work of the Spirit that brings obedience and maturity in the life of the believer. (I Corinthians 13) We believe that all have sinned and come short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23-26). Therefore all are lost and under condemnation except through the new birth, which takes place through repentance of sin and faith in God. Justification is by grace through faith in Christ alone. (John 1:11-13, 3:16, 5:24, 10:28-30, 14:4; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2;8-10; Hebrews 7:24-25; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 5:11-13) We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, which is comprised of believers all over the world. Locally, the church is a group of believers organized to worship God and preach the Gospel. Ultimately, the function of the Church is to carry out God’s will. (Acts 2:41-47, 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:23-23) We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom, which He will fully manifest when He establishes a new heaven and new earth. We believe in the resurrection of the body and the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked. (John 14:2-3; Romans 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 20:11-15, 22:12-17) We believe that two ordinances have been given to the church: Baptism and The Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:38-42). Baptism by immersion (Acts 8:36-39) is the testimony of the believer showing forth his faith in Christ and identification and fellowship in the Body of Christ. Communion is the remembrance and proclamation of His death until Christ returns. It should always be preceded by solemn self examination. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32)
